Here it is, July 1st already. Patti, Kenny and I started staking the approximately 450 tomato plants
yesterday, doing about half of them, and finished the rest this evening, with Patti insisting on pounding
the majority of them in with her trusty 4 lb. sledge! She loves to get her hands in the dirt - always did.
If you look up "farmer's daughter" in the dictionary, her picture is there. :-))
We also picked 5 pints of beautiful raspberries with plenty left on the bushes.
The 3 of us also picked the 1st heavy pick of zucchini and summer squash, probably around one
hundred lbs. or so. Tomorrow morning at 6 a.m., before going to her "real" job at MXCC, Patti is going to The Farm to pick squash flowers to fill 2 orders for some customers. God bless her!
